An Olympian’s Guide to a Positive Mindset

Giving students and educators the right tools for resilience to overcome challenges and get the most from life.

Since the 2018 Commonwealth Games, Eloise Wellings & Rory Darkins have partnered to empower people to go after their dreams and be all they can be. Together they have developed a presentation called 'An Olympian's Guide to Positive Psychology'.

Eloise shares her story of overcoming 11 potentially career ending injuries to reach her dream of competing in the Olympics not once, but twice. Rory then unpacks the key mental skills that have enabled Eloise, and the world’s top performing athletes, to thrive in both their careers and their lives.

How are we empowering our students mentally to face the challenges of tomorrow?

Resilience Y9/10

The first year of high school, as students establish their identity, are a period where resilience and character are essential. Eloise & Rory encourage students to identify the positive character qualities they want to develop as they pursue their dreams. Eloise’s stories of resilience give powerful takeaways on growth mindset, grit, and character to help students thrive.

Vision Y11/12

The final years of high school can be both a challenging and exciting time. A clear and powerful vision is the basis of resilience and a positive final experience and transition from high school. Eloise and Rory inspire students to think bigger and gain clarity on a personal vision of who they want to become, and the positive, purpose-driven future they will be passionate about pursuing.About Us
